Our client work on some of the most exciting and complex projects in the UK, allowing you to develop your skills and play a part in developing vital infrastructure, for the whole of the UK.As a welder you will be delivering complex works, which have a major influence on the rest of the business, making the role an imperative part of the organisation. You will also be based at our clients State of the Art manufacturing facility, near Birkenhead.
About the role:
You will have the following accountabilities:
oAble to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accuratelyoCapable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomesoUncompromising approach to the implementation of safe systems of workoAwareness of Specification and other Contract documentsoUnderstands and implements the requirements of Inspection and Test PlansoEncourages ownership within the team and fosters a culture of Right First TimeoFull fabrication of bespoke high integrity Ductwork components manufactured from Stainless and Mild Steel sheet thickness 2 to 3mm thick.oMonitor levels of workmanshipRequirements:You must have:oExperience of Welding of QC1 Stainless steel and mild steel DuctworkoWelding operations qualified to BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017oUnderstands the basic Company Protocols with regard to accidents and Incident's investigationsoUnderstanding of manufacturing tolerances
Rate of pay will be £19.11, in line with the NAECI Agreement for Welders & £17.57 in line BESA agreement for Sheet Metal WorkersHours of work will be 38 hours per week, spread over 4 days, between Monday and Friday.Standard working day is 7am - 5pm
Please note: This is a full time permanent position, no subsistence is available, candidates must be able to reliably commute to the facility, before starting work.
